- Did you know Indian clubs were once part of the Olympics? These unique fitness tools were featured in the 1904 and 1932 Games, highlighting their popularity and effectiveness. First used in India by wrestlers to build strength and agility, they gained worldwide fame when British officers introduced them to the West. Soon, they became a hit in gyms, schools, and even military training programs.
- These clubs are great for your body. Swinging them improves shoulder flexibility, arm strength, and coordination. The smooth, flowing movements make workouts fun and relaxing, almost like a dance, making fitness feel less like a chore.
- In India, the original clubs, known as mugdar and jori, were heavy and built for serious strength training. Wrestlers used them to develop incredible power and endurance. When introduced to the West, lighter versions were created, focusing on graceful, flowing movements. These lighter clubs were easier to handle and perfect for kids, older people, and women, making them accessible to everyone. People of all ages loved using them for fitness and fun!
- Indian clubs are making a big comeback. After being forgotten for decades, they’re now popular again as people rediscover their unique benefits. They’re valued not just for building strength but also for helping with injury recovery and improving mobility.
- It’s easy to start using Indian clubs. Begin with lightweight clubs and simple swings to get comfortable. As you gain confidence, you can try more advanced moves and enjoy the full benefits of this fun and ancient fitness tool.
- At Mudgar Club, we bring tradition and quality together. Our small startup is dedicated to crafting the best Indian clubs using 100% premium kiln-dried mahogany wood. Each pair is made with precision and care to ensure superb quality and durability. Indian clubs have always been used in pairs, and we honor this tradition, delivering tools that are perfect for fitness enthusiasts of all levels. Care and Maintenance Guide for Your Indian Club

Use It Regularly
Practicing regularly nourishes the wood with your natural oils and sweat, keeping it from drying out. The more you use your Indian Club, the longer it will last. If left unused, it may dry slightly, but mahogany’s natural oils ensure durability.

Protect from Sunlight
Feel free to train in the sun—it’s highly recommended! But don’t leave your Indian Club outside in harsh sunlight (40°C+) for long periods. After use, store it in a shaded, dry space like your room or hall.

Keep Away from Water
Avoid leaving your Indian Club in the rain or wet areas after use, as prolonged exposure to water can weaken the wood. Always store it in a dry and safe location.

No Oiling Needed
Our high-quality polish protects your Indian Club from sun and water. You don’t need to oil it— just ensure it stays dry after each session.

Handle Gently
When placing your Indian Club on hard surfaces, avoid dropping it. Vibrations from impact can cause minor end cracks, which are common in older Indian Clubs but don’t compromise their use.
